The Derek Chauvin Verdict - An Open Letter

Yesterday, Derek Chauvin was found guilty of murdering George Floyd. That historic verdict will be remembered for years to come. The PRSA Dallas board and many of our members remain steadfast in our focus on inclusion as the movement sparked by the killing continues across the U.S.
We hope our PRSA colleagues keep the following in mind:
- Give others space to process the many layers of not only the verdict, but the continuing incidents of racial injustice and violence.
- Speak up to support and advance work focused on diversity, equity, inclusion and justice.
- Choose a brave path forward using our incredible opportunity as communicators to support our communities, clients and colleagues.
We are grateful for those who have joined us in our commitment to use communication as a bridge toward equity and inclusion.
