The PRSA Dallas Board released the following statement in recognition of the Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month 2021.
The Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community is a vital and vibrant part of our nation’s fabric. We recognize and honor their tremendous contributions to and sacrifices for our country during AAPI Heritage Month and continue to stand united against the ongoing violence, racism, and hatred the community has faced recently and over the course of American history.
As PR/communications professionals we have the opportunity and responsibility to shape the stories in our communities. Together with the AAPI PR professionals we can help tell stories that include and center Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and work to improve representation in our industry year-round.
We invite PR practitioners to join us in supporting our AAPI colleagues and working collectively
toward advancing diversity, equity and inclusion.
