Hello PRSA Dallas community!

Welcome to a new year where the sky is the limit for opportunities to grow.

Is this the year you’re going to go for that promotion or start your own business? Is it the year you’re going to ask someone who inspires you to be your mentor? Or is it the year you’re going to put yourself out there and try something new that excites and scares you all at the same time?

Whatever big steps you’re taking in 2026, PRSA Dallas is here to support you at any career stage. From new grads to retirees, we invite you to be an active member of our community so we can support you in reaching your goals.

We do this by advancing learning with relevant, practical programs that strengthen skills and help you navigate an evolving communications landscape; building community with welcoming gatherings to connect with fellow members and expand your network; fostering career development and advancing our profession with education and leadership pathways like the Accreditation in Public Relations; and maintaining leadership and organizational excellence to ensure PRSA Dallas builds on its 75-year history and remains a strong, sustainable, member-focused organization.

I am honored to serve as your chapter president in 2026. Thank you to my predecessor, Christopher Ruth, now our immediate past president, who led us through an incredibly successful 2025. I look forward to continuing that momentum, working with our board members and committees to provide our members with high-value, high-quality experiences throughout the year.

Making the most of your membership in 2026

Whether you’re early in your career, mid‑level or a seasoned leader, your local PRSA Dallas membership in combination with your national PRSA membership offers a number of ways for you to learn, connect and grow.

The best way to get the most out of your investment in PRSA, which is an investment in YOU, is to participate and get involved – as with so many things in life, showing up is the key to success and gaining results.

Some ways you can kick off the year strong are:

  • Attend programs and networking events each month to learn, share ideas and expand your network. Our first event of the year is Thursday, Jan 29 - join us for Headshots & Handshakes in partnership with the PRSA Ft. Worth chapter. And watch out for our next member meet-up in February.
  • Volunteer or serve on a committee to build leadership, collaboration and strategic skills, and just meet a bunch of great people. Our call for volunteers is now open fill out this form to share your interests.
  • Familiarize yourself with the national PRSA resources—including webinars, the MyPRSA portal and communities—and sign up for a free live or on-demand webinar included with our membership.
  • If nothing else, log in to MyPRSA, click on “My Profile” and fill in or update the “Professional Profile” and “Personal Profile” so fellow members can find you more easily.

And no need to do any of this solo – invite a colleague or friend to a PRSA Dallas event. Sharing the experience strengthens connections and makes it more fun.
