APR Jumpstart Session
The Public Relations Society of America, Dallas Chapter, invites local public relations and communications professionals to an introductory session on earning the prestigious Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) credential.

Speakers:
Angie Champsaur, APR
Angie is a PR and communications leader with more than two decades of experience shaping brand narrative and driving measurable business impact for global organizations. She has led PR and earned media for Church’s Texas Chicken and GoTo Foods (home to Cinnabon, McAlister’s Deli, and Moe’s Southwest Grill), guided executives through high-stakes reputation moments, and built internal communications that bring teams together. Her background also includes work with Newell Brands, Robert Half International and Encompass Digital Media.
An Alabama native and Jacksonville State grad, she is Accredited in Public Relations (APR) professional and serves as a Board of Director At-Large for PRSA Dallas.
Teddi Cliett, APR
Teddi joined the Three Box team as a public relations intern in 2018. Since then, she has delivered impactful, strategic and award-winning programs to a range of Three Box clients. Now, as a Director, she collaborates with account teams to deliver strategic planning and creative execution for programs that help move the needle for clients in the healthcare, nonprofit and consumer spaces. Teddi also created and manages Three Box Impact, the agency’s pro-bono PR program for nonprofits.
Teddi is Accredited in Public Relations (APR), an active member of the PRSA Dallas chapter, and a member of Leadership Plano class 42. In 2022, she was named a finalist for PRSA Dallas’ Young PR Pro of the Year Award.
Christopher Ruth, APR
Vice President of Communications, Buckner International
Christopher Ruth, APR oversees Buckner International’s strategic public relations, marketing, and external communication initiatives. He leads an award-winning team of communication professionals in support of the nonprofit’s mission to serve vulnerable children, families, and seniors.
Chris is Accredited in Public Relations and is the immediate Past President, PRSA Dallas Chapter.

Lisa Vasquez, APR
Lisa is an accredited public relations practitioner and the past president of the Dallas chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. At Collin College, she served for 22 years as vice president over public relations and development and as an adjunct professor of PR, before retiring in 2025. As a member of the college’s Executive Leadership Team, she led the PR team to improve image and awareness ratings to an all-time high. She also led the Collin College Foundation and the alumni program, raising more than $21 million and awarding 8,800 scholarships to students. Her 30+ year career includes tenure as vice president of marketing and communications for the Dallas Regional Chamber, as well as service with the Dallas Business Journal, in the private sector and in healthcare PR. Vasquez holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism/public relations from the University of Oklahoma, a master’s degree in strategic communication and innovation from Texas Tech University and accreditation in public relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America.
